  1. Add 2 flat tbsp salt (Celtic/Himalayan) to 1 litre warm distilled water (500ml boiling, 500ml room temperature) in a glass bottle

  2. Drink in under 10 minutes

  3. Lie down and massage your intestines (lie on back/side/side and massage your stomach)

  4. Resist urgency to use to toilet for at-least 30 minutes, then head to the bathroom and your intestinal tract will “flush”

    Note: If there is no urgency (i.e. nothing is happening) drink more water, I drink 500ml every 10 minutes

  5. Once you perform your first flush (in the bathroom): Consume a further 1 litre of water, resist the urgency to use the bathroom for 10-15 minutes, then use the bathroom again (the additional water will flush through you further clearing the intestinal tract)

    Note: Repeat this step until clear liquid (no solids) come out when using the bathroom

  6. Expect to use the toilet multiple times over the coming hours (stay close to a bathroom)

  7. Consume a high quality symbiotic ~2 hours after the urgency slows and continue taking this for the 14-days that follow (see recommendations in the Supplement Database)

My Post-Salt Flush Protocol:

  1. A few hours after the flush is complete: Consume natural sugar from fruit, coconut, juices, to balance sodium and activate sodium-glucose transporter proteins that draw water to cells (facilitating hydration)
  2. The evening of the flush: Stick to simple foods that you know you tolerate well
  3. The days that follow the flush: Use this as an oppurtunity to maximise nutritional quality and minimise refined and processed foods
  4. For 14-days: High quality symbiotic, limit caffeine consumption, daily cup of broth (pre-made beef broth in jelly form is my preferred—add 1-2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and 1 flat tbsp coconut oil) </aside>
